# Connect Claude

> Connect Claude to Deep Recall with a plugin or a custom connector, then verify a save and recall.

Connect your brain, then give Claude one memory to save and recall.

Use an approved Deep Recall account. Start in Claude’s **Chat** tab for this guide; [Claude Code setup](/connect/coding-agents/) is separate. Workspace policies can restrict uploads and connectors.

* Plugin setup

  ## Install the plugin

  [Download the Claude plugin](https://getdeeprecall.com/plugins/deep-recall-claude.zip). In Claude, open **Customize → Plugins → Add → Upload plugin**, select the ZIP, and upload it. The memory skill is included.

  ## Connect your brain

  Open the **Deep Recall plugin → Connectors**. Add its connector if needed and choose **Connect**. Sign in to Deep Recall and review the permissions.

  Look for **Connected**. Installing the plugin alone does not authorize the connection.

* Manual connection

  ## Add the connector

  Open **Customize → Connectors → Add → Add custom connector**. Name it **Deep Recall** and use this URL:

  Choose **Continue**. Keep **Sign in now** and **Use Claude’s published identity** selected when those options appear. Leave request headers empty. Sign in to Deep Recall and review permissions.

  [Download the memory skill](https://getdeeprecall.com/skills/deep-recall/SKILL.md), then use **Customize → Skills → Add → Upload skill** if available. The skill supplies memory guidance; it does not connect your account.

## Let Claude use it naturally

In [Deep Recall’s connection guide](https://getdeeprecall.com/app/connect), copy the memory instruction. Add it alongside your existing text in Claude’s **Settings → Account → Instructions for Claude**.

The instruction asks Claude to recall relevant context and save useful user-stated facts, decisions, and temporary plans. Automatic use remains best effort. For an important save or search, ask explicitly.

## Try it in a new chat

After processing finishes, find that memory through Deep Recall and show its source.

Verify an actual tool call and a retrieved memory. A queued save needs time to process. Try a fresh conversation to check that the answer is coming from saved memory.

## If an option is missing

On Team or Enterprise, ask an owner about custom connectors or plugin uploads. In a chat, use **+ → Connectors** to enable Deep Recall if it is unavailable. A skill cannot enable a connector your account does not support.
