Connect Muse
Connect Muse through Deep Recall’s remote MCP server and the browser sign-in flow.
Start with the guided setup
Section titled “Start with the guided setup”Open Connect agents, choose Muse, and copy the setup prompt into Muse. The prompt asks it to connect using the server’s OAuth flow, with this URL:
https://api.getdeeprecall.com/mcpLet Muse open the browser to Deep Recall. Sign in with your approved account and review permissions. Do not provide an API key or password in the conversation.
If Muse asks for client credentials
Section titled “If Muse asks for client credentials”Automatic registration is the preferred path. If the client requires a manual configuration, use the Muse preset in Connect agents. It provides the supported callback and authentication method, then shows newly registered credentials for you to transfer to Muse.
Keep the secret private. Creating client credentials does not itself grant access to your brain; complete user sign-in and consent afterward. Do not change the client authentication method to work around an error.
Test one memory
Section titled “Test one memory”Ask Muse to list Deep Recall’s tools, then save a harmless fact and recall it with its source. A complete read/write connection exposes recall, ask, remember, and forget.
If the connection works only after trying again
Section titled “If the connection works only after trying again”In the guide’s final test step, expand Works only after trying again? and copy the recovery message into your existing Muse conversation. It asks Muse to refresh its credential reference after an explicit authentication rejection and retry once. Publishing this guide does not update an existing connector automatically.
Do not retry timeouts or server errors blindly: a write may already have completed. If the fresh-credential retry fails, reconnect through the guided setup.
If setup loops or fails, return to the guided setup and check authentication troubleshooting. Avoid blindly retrying a failed write.
