Your brain’s email
Forward useful email to your brain, then inspect the memories and their original message in Documents.
Claim your address
Section titled “Claim your address”Open Settings → Brain’s email. Choose a permanent username for your username@deeprecallapp.com address.
Usernames use 3–40 letters, numbers, or hyphens, and must start and end with a letter or number. Some operational names are reserved. Choose carefully: this address is permanent.
The settings page shows whether receiving is available for your account and environment. If it is unavailable or paused, resolve that before sending.
Check allowed senders
Section titled “Check allowed senders”Your current confirmed account email is allowed by default. Add another exact address before forwarding from another mailbox. You can allow up to 20 additional senders; this grants those addresses permission to submit email to your brain.
Dots and plus tags remain distinct. An allowance for name@example.com is not automatically an allowance for name+work@example.com.
Forward a useful message
Section titled “Forward a useful message”Forward from an allowed mailbox to your brain’s address. Start with a harmless message you can recognize. Sender authentication is checked against the actual sending message, not just a name or quoted “From” line inside it.
This is forwarding, not mailbox synchronization. Deep Recall does not connect to Gmail to read your whole inbox. Some relays and automatic-forwarding systems can alter sender authentication and may not work. Microsoft 365/Outlook delivery has not been independently verified.
Review what arrived
Section titled “Review what arrived”Open Documents and select the Email source. Check processing status, subject, sender, receipt date, extracted memories, and ignored attachments. A message can finish successfully with zero memories if there is no useful information to retain.
Email bodies and supported non-image attachments are processed. PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, text, and Markdown attachments are supported within the email limits. Images, inline logos, and signature images are skipped. Attachments remain inside the retained email original.
Pause or remove access
Section titled “Pause or remove access”Pause receiving in Settings to block future admissions. Already accepted jobs can finish. Removing an allowed sender affects future email; it does not delete previously received messages or memories.
To remove an email source, use its delete action in Documents and review the consequences for source-linked memories. No confirmation reply is sent when a message arrives. Check Documents instead.
